Welcome to an improved level of dental care for you and your family. At the Center for Restorative, Cosmetic, and Implant Dentistry, we want to make every visit to our office comfortable and relaxing, starting with your first visit as a new patient. This is our chance to get to know you and find out more about your oral health goals. But since it is your first time coming to our office, we will need to get some information from you to build your patient file.
Before your appointment, you can fill out the new patient forms we have online for your convenience. This is general information that we need to provide you with the best care possible. You can fill in the information at your convenience, and we will receive it before your visit. When you come in, we will let you know if there is anything else we need to get your patient file up-to-date.
During Your Appointment
When you come in for your first visit, we will want to perform a full exam to better understand your oral health level and any treatments you may need. If you need x-rays, we will get digital pictures of your teeth and jaw to use during your exam. In most cases, you will meet with one of our hygienists for a periodontal exam and cleaning. This gives us a chance to evaluate your gum health, clean your teeth and prepare a treatment or cleaning plan for the future.
When you meet with one of our dentists, they will do a thorough exam. We offer oral cancer screenings, which we recommend – early detection is the best way to fight cancer. The doctor will go over your x-rays and perform a physical exam of your teeth and gums. We have intraoral cameras that we can use to show you any issues. You can view the images on a clear, digital screen.
If there are any oral concerns, your doctor will discuss treatment options and the best plan to continue caring for your oral health. This is a good time to ask questions. If you are interested in any specialty services like cosmetic or implant dentistry, the doctor can give you more information.
